In Search of the Perfect Drum Audio Sample
On a previous page I used the jigsaw puzzle analogy and asked if you had ever experienced putting the finishing touches on a complicated puzzle only to find that there were a few pieces missing from the box. The parallel being that, even with one small piece missing the whole cannot be complete. However, unlike the puzzle piece thats forever lost under the couch, a drum sample or loop can take the place of the missing piece and the problem is easily solved.
The best advice I can give to aspiring musicians searching for the perfect drum audio sample is to take your time and try as many different combinations as you can. If the piece is worth working on, its worth taking that extra time to get it as close to perfect as possible. The proof is always in the pudding and music industry insiders like their pudding rich, thick and delicious.
